| WHEN DOGS BARK |
WHEN DOGS BARK Many voices are heard in the poems and stories in When Dogs Bark. They are the voices the black urban gay male hears in his dreams, in his search for love, in his quest for sex. He will be hear street corner encounters, the wailing for lost daddies, and the sighs of wasted lost nights. Some of the voices are feminine, but brothers will relate to their siren songs of distress over the elusive black male. The voices will bark loudly at the easily offended. When Dogs Bark is not for those looking to walk through lilies of the valley. You will lurk in musty libraries, cruise street corners, touch the heart of a serial Killer, and cut your feet on glass. You will smell chitlins cooking and musky underarms. You will wince, frown, smile, laugh--sometimes all at once. You will not be bored. I promise you. If you've read Shade and Soulfires, you'll be very familiar with Charles Harvey and When Dogs Bark. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- COMING HOME TOMORROW When is the best time to leave your unfaithful lover? Jermaine Jackson said there were fifty ways to leave your lover. Sometimes that decision leads to some weird activities--like a tryst in the morgue. Check out the story on amazon.com/shorts. ---- |
